Needless to say, as the grand finale of season 2016 is just around the corner, now every single battle in Strongman Champions League is more than crucial - especially for the leaders in the ranking. Despite the huge pressure of the yellow T-Shirt, last weekend Dainis Zageris showed once and for all that he deserve to bring home the gold trophy from MLO SCL Portugal. Zageris, who was in second position after Day 1 of the tournament in Porto, managed to overcome the strong resistance of Krzysztof Radzikowski, by making some impeccable holds in the discipline Log Lift. Radzikowski, a highly experienced fighter himself, finished first after Day 1 with good results in Forward Hold and frame Carry, but in the end Dainis Zageris beat his numbers by just one point - 54 pts vs 53 pts....

On the Day 1 Jimmy Paquet won "Trapbar Deadlift" ( 355 kg) and "Stone Loglift" (100 kg) but Dainis Zageris, who wore MLO SCL Leader`s Yellow T-Shirt, managed to equal his points with the Canadian debutant. Mateusz Baron wins sweeping victory in MLO SLC Romania

After two days, seven events and some surprising twists and turns, Mateusz Baron from Poland is the new winner in MLO Strongman Champions League Romania. He finished first in key disciplines such as "Log lift" and "Frame Walk", which in the end of the competiton allowed him to decorate his chest with the gold medal. Alex Moonen took the silver, but also showed amazing strength skills, especially in the "Truck pull". Martin Wildauer conquered the bronze, whereas Stoyan Todorchev who started the tournament wearing Leader's Yellow T-Shirt, unanticipatedly remained in 8th place.

Simon Boudreau from Canada triumphs in MLO SCL Finland

Last weekend Simon Boudreau scored a victory to remember on his debut in Strongman Champions League. Despite the continuous rain in Day 2, Boudreau revealed excellent physical form and finished the competition with overall result of 57 points. The Canadian titan gave a remarkable performance in the discipline "Hercules hold" with accomplishment of one minute (the second best result in the ranking being 40 seconds). Boudreau was constantly cheered by the public in Vaasa which played a huge part in his success. He communicated with the local people throughout the whole competition and this positive attitude helped him made new friends that boosted his motivation even further. Sean "The Giant" O'Hagan from Ireland ,who earned a place in the top 10, also received a lot of praise from the Finnish fans.
